THE AMAZING MURPHY FAMILY - AUCKLAND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

This post has been well overdue. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and photograph this wonderful family. I learnt of Natalie's story through a fundraiser on Facebook and finally met this amazing woman during our photo shoot. Natalie was diagnosed with cancer over a year and a half ago and given only 2-5 years to live. Earlier this year, she was told even more devastating news that it looked more to be 12-18 months. She shares her story very openly in the hopes to raise breast cancer awareness among us young woman. Please do take time out to read her story here, I promise she will inspire you to live better. I have yet to meet a more stronger, determined and inspirational woman as her.

 Her portrait session was my gift to her family in the hopes to capture her beauty, a mother's love, and the beautiful relationship with the men in her life. It's also a gift for her charming little boy, Jackson to treasure eternally. Not least of all, it captures the essence and spirit of life - enjoy!

BABY MAX - AUCKLAND NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

I've got a lot of catching up to do with this blog!! Promised myself to keep it updated more frequently :) For now, here is baby Max from a while ago. What an adorable and easy baby to photograph!! He's mum was a little worried about him sleeping during the photo shoot but this chap was one of the easiest newborns I've managed to put to sleep. Looking forward to seeing him again soon for his 6 month-milestone session!!

What a cool name this wee chap has, don't you agree? I absolutely and hopelessly fell in love with his gorgeous chubbiness!! He's mum was open to ideas and that beautiful tanoa (kava bowl) had caught my eye the moment I walked in. Their beautiful house was drenched with divine light and  how could we not have a little  bit of fun in such a setting? Enjoy!!

Baby Garrison; Auckland Family Children's Photographer

It's been a while on this blog and I'm looking forward to posting a whole lot more since we are all settled in well in Auckland. Kicking off with baby Garrison and his wonderful, WONDERFUL parents. We met at Cornwall Park and drove a bit until we settled on the perfect spot away from the afternoon crowd. A very lovely family to photograph and  the love between them is truly beautiful!! The little girl who lives amidst the clouds. That's exactly how it felt driving up hill to this adorable one's house. The road seemed never-ending turn after turn and the quick glance I took of the view from the top was exquisite!! Little Jodie is truly her mumma's bub. So serene and peaceful in her arms!! But then of course she is just newborn :) and she made sure to let us know she didn't like it any other way!! hahaha We were losing the light fast as dusk was setting in and here is a share of our little girl when she did allow us a minute or two away from Mum :)

Baby Summer; Wellington Newborn Photographer

It was such a fantastic morning for a session and this sweet 10 day old was just that. Sweet. She kept dozing on and off  and was just brilliant at sleeping when we needed her to. Oh how tiny are those toes...sigh. Thanks to mum and dad for your patience and trust. Enjoy your gorgeous tiny bundle!!
